I have a conference to attend next week that is about a 4 hour drive away. I just checked and I can fly in for under a hundred bucks. I don't know if I should fly in the day before and get some sleep at the conference hotel then fly home that evening. Or if I should just fly in and out the same day. I would save the money on the hotel and not be away from the family the night before, but it makes for a long day, I'd have to be at the airport by about 6am and I wouldn't get home until 11pm. Plus if the flight is delayed I would miss the conference.

Re: moms/ career types
I'd go the night before. The family will be fine for a night w/o you! Even before I had DS, I had to fly to and from Chicago i none day, and it was for was about a 3 hour meeting. So I was home at a "normal" time- and it was pretty exhausting.
Go, give yourself a night to yourself!
