knitting/crocheting rug

Has anyone ever tried to knit or crochet their own rug with XL yarn? Any advice? Thanks!

Re: knitting/crocheting rug

  • There are tons of patterns on Ravelry if you want to take a look.  And by XL yarn, do you mean bulky weight?

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I meant something like Zpagetti  http://www.zpagetti.com.au/ So that is super bulky!

  • In 4-H crochet class I did a big rag rug as one of my projects. We took old flannel sheets, cut them into strips and tied them together. We used giant plastic hook and made this big round rugs. It was really fun, the rugs were really heavy. Mine is probably floating around in storage at my mom's house or goodwill. The colors where really 90's. Tea rose, forrest green, mauve, and cream. LOL
