Picking up our new dog on Saturday. We are getting a German Short Hair Pointer. This week taking the time to get ready, prepare the kennel outside, setup the crate, clean out the water bowls..etc. We currently have an old english bulldog, but last 6 months he has been by himself since we had to put our chessie down.
Any advice to ease the transition without too much issues? Currently the puppy is already crate trained and has been kenneled. I want to make sure I get everything right this time since we are able to get a puppy this time, prior dogs were from awful situations, abuse, etc. Plan on going to classes to further his education.

Maybe this post will help. OP asked any advice on bringing second dog home. Not sure if exactly what you are looking for, but may help a bit.
