I used to think White is just WHITE

But wowie there are a lot of whites to choose from for trim and kitchen cabinets.

Which would you pick?? We are going with gray on the walls.

Re: I used to think White is just WHITE

  • I used Benjamin Moore's Sand Dollar in a room I painted white, and really liked it.  That's what I would use if I were doing kitchen cabinets.

  • Close your eyes and point. lol.

Seriously, if possible I'd look at the colors next to the paint chip and see which one stays the most "true" white or true to the tone you want if that makes sense. Since white can pick on the colors surrounding it and look different.

I'm not explaining myself very well.

  • We chose Behr's Swiss Coffee for all of the baseboards, doors and doorframes in our house. It seemed to go the best with the most colors.
  • It is pretty overwhelming. I work in commercial interiors. Once, we had to try 27 shades of white for a CEO to look at before she picked the perfect shade.
  • I would go with a whiter white for trim than for kitchen cabinets.
