If you had $30,000 to spend on books what would you buy?
A friend is an academic librarian and they need to spend their budget this week. I already suggested a $700 book on modernist cuisine that its now on order. So suggest away, just keep in mind its academic, so no novels our general cookbooks. I need lp on here to suggest some good art books.

There's a rare book that I'm dying to read called "The Three Christs of Ypsilanti". It's a study done where they two three people who were each convinced they were Jesus, and put them in a room together in hopes they would challenge each other's delusions.

Well no, I am curious as to the art books that LP suggests.
Also, is it for an actual (public use) library (within a department)? Can they justify a splurge on programs? I bet even the most rudimentary of academic departments can upgrade their CS license for all their students when they're using the library computers.
