Bland diet question

I have a dog that has a 'delicate' GI tract (stress, changes in routine,etc). And she frequently requires a bland diet. It got me to thinking.....for emergencies I need a plan. Is there a canned food out there that I can toss in our emergency supplies? I wad looking at the Nature's Balance line, but I have no idea and thought I would toss it out here for feedback. Thank you.

Maybe some Uncle Ben's Instant rice & canned chicken?--I think Swanson makes one that's just chicken breast packed in water.

We decided the bland diet cans were not worth the $$$, so we just give him rice and chicken when he's sick. (We buy bulk chicken breasts at costco for our own dinners, so we just boil an extra breast for the dog if he needs it.)

How big of a dog?  I keep jars of chicken babyfood on hand for when my chihuahua has gi issues.

Yes this what we do for a regular bland diet. This will NOT WORK for an emergency pack or for travel.

I have a friend who uses the limited ingredients dog food, believe its made by natures balance. That might be your best bet. the less ingredients to upset him.

yes it could prove a better solution. this diet may be helpful for dogs. canned foods are better for dogs. in Emergency it is a very good idea.
