I think there's a bouncy ball sized swollen area inside Coopers left knee . Stupid DH took him to the dog park Sat am & did 4 laps w/him...I think each lap is 1/2 a mile? They have gone to the DP since Coop got the all clear after the 1st seroma, but they've (smartly) always only done 1 lap.
We were dog sitting all weekend, but Coop & the other dog don't play together, they're just 'here'. I wasn't home most of the day Sat, but I guess he was outside the whole time I was gone (as usual when its nice out), which is fine, but if he sees a s-q-u-i-r-r-e-l he starts running around the yard like an idiot trying to get it out of the trees. Sun we were gone most of the day, so he was able to rest, but he was pretty excitable when we got home...& we had friends over w/a dog last night, but he doesn't really play much w/that dog either, luckily the 2 visiting dogs just played together & Cooper supervised.
I am seriously going to beat MH if this is another seroma!! UGH!! Tonight Coop seems just...I dunno..off...Like normally once we get home from work & after we take a walk, he'll sit outside in the yard till its well past dark. But tonight, he was hardly out there...& he's pretty much already tucked in to bed....But it all could just be coincidence! He could just be tired...!
Ugh! I don't know what to do!! I do not want to call the Vet! MH literally just took him a week ago (for an adjustment) & she checked his knee out & he was doing great!
I said something to MH last night about the spot & he just blew it off- of course, he was about 4 beers in to his evening after a super long day including a 10k we did...But even today he doesn't seem concerned! Stupid men! Fark! Fark Fark Fark!!!
Re: Im going to beat MH- Quite possibly another seroma :(
I have to agree - men are stupid!
And I'm very sorry to hear Cooper might have another seroma. Hopefully he is just tired and will be back to himself tomorrow!
In regards to your H, I would be making him bring me ice cream and extra nice to me for doing a not-so-bright thing.
Thank you. Im sorry! I hope Im just freaking out about nothing, but Im SO pissed!!
DH was gone while I was typing that before, & when he got home Cooper was his usual self w/his greeting. I was able to get him to lay down so I could ice him for about 15 min, but then he ditched me & got up to chew on a bone
so thats a good sign.
& you are a Genius for thinking of the ice cream idea!
You have every right to be freaking out! You have a doggie in recovery and you have to be a protective doggie-momma!
Oh he's beyond the recovery stage, but that doesn't mean he's @ 100%...or ever will be. At this point (3 surgeries down), we just want him to be happy & not in pain & able to enjoy life.
Good lord its a good thing we don't have kids! Although, maybe not, atleast they can tell you whats wrong w/them! ....once they're talking!! Lol
Thanks for the support ladies! I feel a lot better just getting my worries off my chest!
