island and/or resort recs
DH and I were going to take a trip this summer if I didn't get pregnant. Then, I did and we thought we might go on a trip or we might not to save money. Now as we move on from the loss, we are thinking we might as well go for a trip!! I need something to plan and look forward to.
Does anyone have any recommendations of resorts or islands? While I would love to go to New York, I am also thinking a beach (and so is DH?) We haven't been to Mexico yet. We are also thinking the Caribbean...St. Lucia, Antigua, Aruba, etc. We did Bahamas for our HM and Grand Cayman last year and we loved both of those. We do want air conditioned rooms and a TV in the room. Some I looked at last year did not have those in the rooms. While we like to enjoy vacation, we want to be comfortable and able to watch TV if we are sunburnt or just to veg out in front of between a day at the beach and dinner. (We don't take laptops or really use our cells while we are there, but we do want a TV or at least the option to have it, lol.) Thanks in advance.

We went to Aruba on our honeymoon in September and absolutely LOVED it! Everyone was so nice and our resort was beautiful and fun!

Have you considered a cruise? That way you could visit several different places. The cabins always have air conditioning and tv, and there is so much to do onboard the ships. DH and I took a western caribbean cruise for our honeymoon and loved it. We stopped at Grand Cayman, Isle of Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel.
Also, Mexico is a really nice and affordable place to find all-inclusives. Cancun area has a ton of nice ones. We stayed on an island off of Cancun called Isla Mujeres and really enjoyed it, although I don't know if I'd recommend the particular resort we stayed at for various reasons.
Only islands I've ever been to are the Bahamas and Puerto Rico, and that was for my study abroad trip, so I can't help there.
If you do decide to do NYC, hit me up b/c I grew up 10 miles away.
