  • What event are you training for/date? Nothing in particular, my next race will probably be a half in September, and after that Marine Corps Marathon!

     

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? Mon - 3M + Strength, Tues - 5M, Wed- 5xhills, Thur-3M + Strength, Fri- Rest, Sat-40M fartlek, Sun-8M


     

    Any injuries or problems? Going well so far


     

    Highlights from last week? I stuck to my 6 day per week workout schedule for the first time since I started. It's tough to find the time sometimes, but it's worth it.

     

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? Completing my first half-marathon in 1:53:36!

  • What event are you training for/date? Chelanman 70.3, July 21

     

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? Sun. 9 miles, Monday: 50 minute swim, Tues: track, Wed: 2 hour group ride with 20 min. run, Thurs: 30 min. ride, 20 min run, Fri: swim or off, Sat.: 2+ hour group ride

     

    Any injuries or problems? Every time I swim, my shoulder is sore. It doesn't hurt at any other time. I hope it doesn't get any worse.

    Highlights from last week? hmmmm, went on a bike ride by myself, I felt great. Felt fast!

     

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? FInishing my second 70.3 and getting a PR on a really tough course!

  • What event are you training for/date? Fargo 1/2 marathon 5/19

     What does your training schedule look like for the week? I'm supposed to be tapering, but for some reason my running coach has me doing 1 hour of speed work today, a 5 mile run tomorrow, and an 8 mile run Friday.

    Any injuries or problems? Nothing other than I'm having flu-like symptoms post runs lately.

    Highlights from last week? My first 12-mile run ever. My longest to date and my last long run before my race.

     What's your proudest H&F moment so far? Despite going through 11 different running injuries throughout 2011, I didn't quit and will be at the start line next weekend for my first half marathon injury-free.

  • What event are you training for/date? Covered Bridge Half, June 3 What does your training schedule look like for the week? Mon - recovering from the Derby, Tues - sprints, Wed- 4 miles, Thur-6 miles, Fri- circuit training, Sat-rest, Sun-12 miles
     Any injuries or problems? Hardly got in any workouts last week, wild weekend with 0 workouts and hardly anything healthy consumed.
     Highlights from last week? 11.6 mile run INSIDE was fantastic and just what I needed to feel confident again. What's your proudest H&F moment so far? My first half, shaving 5 minutes off my 5K.
  • What event are you training for/date? nothing on the books right now

     

    What does your training schedule look like for the week?

    Monday - ballet

    Tuesday - 2 mile run

    Wednesday - strength training

    Thursday - hit the road for NO

    Firday - hopefully a morning jog in NO

    Saturday - 6 mile bike ride in NO

    Sunday  - off

    Any injuries or problems? right side of back from wakeboarding - a good run will work it out

    Highlights from last week? I am a highlight, i am burnt up from the beachouse :)

     

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? being more fit than i was 1 year ago when i got married.

    What event are you training for/date?

    Bolder Boulder, 5/28

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? not much...maybe 3 miles tomorrow, 3 on Thursday, body pump Saturday, 7mi Sunday

    Any injuries or problems? I'm still so sore from the marathon.  :)

    Highlights from last week? Finishing the marathon.

     

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? That's tough...I'm not proud of just finishing the marathon Sunday.  I'm proud of what I learned about myself during the last four miles of that race.

  • What event are you training for/date? Cap Hill Classic 5.20.12, LHH sometime in June.  both 10K

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? M: 7x400 (was shooting for 10 but was short on time) + lifting, T: rest, W: 10x400 + lifting, R: yoga, F: easy run, S: 7-8 mi, S: yoga + easy run.  

    Any injuries or problems? I think it's time for new shoes. 

    Highlights from last week? just getting back into the swing of things after a break

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? finally running sub 9 min miles in a race.   it was @ the 2010 ATM.  now I'm chasing down the 8 min/mi. 

  • What event are you training for/date?  Nothing currently, just maintaining. My next race will probably be a 10-miler or HM in October.

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? Run 4x, Strength train 2x, Yoga 2x.

    Any injuries or problems?  Not currently, other than lack of time

    Highlights from last week? Ran a great 10k in 54 minutes. That was a big PR for me. I want to keep working on getting faster.

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? Ever? Probably running a marathon.

      Any injuries or problems? My arch and post. tib stuff is still hanging around, but it is getting better
      Highlights from last week? My pushups are getting better! What's your proudest H&F moment so far? My first half, and then shaving almost 13 minutes off of that time in my second half

     Fargo Marathon - May 19!! Less than 2 weeks to go :-)

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? 

     2nd week of taper - Sunday - 12 mile bike; Monday - 4 mile run; Tuesday - 3 miles and stretch; Wednesday - 8 miles; Thursday - 4 miles;  Friday - Rest; Saturday - 5 miles

    Any injuries or problems?

    Just feeling the fun effects of seasonal allergies.

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far?

    Finishing my first marathon last year :-)

    • First half marathon is on Sunday - Kirkland Mother's Day Half + the Portland R&R the Sunday after
    • Cross train today, and a few light runs later in the week. Taper week.
    • I'm STILL getting over a cold I've had for about 10 days. Burning lungs when I push it, & just general tiredness.
    • It was not a great running week.
    • Finishing my 12 miler a few weekends ago!!

    What event are you training for/date? A couple summer 5k's, and building a base for NYCM

     

    What does your training schedule look like for the week?  M- 6, T-9.5 with stroller, Th-8 with stroller, F-4, Sa-5k race, Su- 14 long run...all easy paced except for the race 

    Any injuries or problems? Cranky knee post race

    Highlights from last week? 1:41 at the Frederick Half! My realistic goal was 1:45, my reach goal was sub 1:40, so I feel good about it. I feel like I left it all out there. 

     

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? My 3:21 in Boston. It is still hard for me to comprehend that I ran that fast! i finished my first marathon in 5:25 so I've come a long way. I also found out I was pregnant with my third very shortly after, so I got slow again right away. Hopefully I'll prove it wasn't a fluke one day!

  • What event are you training for/date? Starlight run 5k. Training for a PR, goal time 33 minutes.

     

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? M- NROLFW, T- 3 m run, W- 3 m. run, Th- Hill training, F- Rest, S- NROLFW, S- 4 m run

    Any injuries or problems? Nope! I feel great

    Highlights from last week? None! I only worked out twice last week Embarrassed. I was in between training programs and last week was crazy busy. I couldn't find the motivation to get out there. But, I think it did me some good. I felt great during yesterdays workout and can't wait to get out and do my run tonight!

     

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? Running an 5 mile race and beating my goal time. I've always trained with DH. But, I did trained by myself and felt great during the race and ran the whole way.

    This is also the longest I've ever stuck to tracking and running. I can see the hard work paying off!

  • What event are you training for/date?

    Next event is a 5k on Saturday with my mom, sister, and daughter 

     

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? 

    It's all over the place this week. S- 8 mile run, m- biking and yoga, t- Pilates and ?, w- yoga + short run, th-?, f-?, sat.-5k 

    Any injuries or problems? I can't get to CF this week due to state testing and daily phone meetings in the evening. Got to love the crunch time before school gets out for the summer.

    Highlights from last week? I love doing yoga with my daughter. She's mastered about 5 different poses, and she'll grab her own mat when she feels like working out.  

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far? Completing 3  marathions in a year before our surprise pregnancy.


  • What event are you training for/date?  None right now but I'll have a half this fall

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? Lots of rest with stretching and some upper body lifting

    Any injuries or problems?  Still recovering from my half but the soreness is mostly gone and the hip issue is mostly resolved

    Highlights from last week?  I ran my first half!

    What's your proudest H&F moment so far?  Running the half marathon
