Good morning! What are you all up to today?
As I was tying my shoes, my walking buddy bailed on me. I decided to walk alone, sans doggies because they slow me down and I can't walk as far because of their little legs. I walking 1.67 miles in like 25 minutes! I was super proud. And I've figured out a way to make my walk, alone, 2 miles which is what I do with my buddy. I actually walk faster alone though. Anyways gold by August is 3 miles in 30 minutes!
I'm working today, no doctor this morning so I can play catchup. Thank goodness because my billing desk looks like a bomb went off and I need to pull insurance auths for the rest of the week and call in some sample orders.
Tonight I'm working on a baby afghan and hanging out with the doggies until E gets home.
Re: Happy Tuesday!
N and I are eating breakfast. We have having awesome weather here - it's pouring and thundering and lightening. I love it. I'm going to put on my wellies, get my umbrella, and go grocery shopping and I'm seriously excited. It's been years since I've seen rain like this and I love it.
Good for you with the walking!
ETA: And since I finally got my crock pot back, I'm finally going to make your cranberry chicken this week.
It's raining like crazy here, so I'm on the couch with DD and the puppy, attempting to catch up on Army Wives via Netflix.
I really should be cleaning my house though, since DH finally comes home soon!
Whoop!
Congrats with the walking! That's so awesome for you. :-)
A, great job on the walk! I feel so much better about my body when I'm able to do more walking/jogging. I can't wait to get back to normal exercise in a few months.
I'm on leave to catch up on some much needed sleep and errands. I'm currently sitting at the tire place getting summer tires put on my car, then the day holds a commissary trip and a chiropractor appointment. And a nap.
I'm hella annoyed.
I cancelled our cable last month, bringing the internet bill down to like 50 bucks. Imagine my surprise when I checked our bank account this morning and saw that the cable provider had charged $300! Called, freaking out. Apparently the rep I talked to when cancelling never mentioned that I have to return the cable box within 3 weeks or get hit with the retail price or $250. Now I've got to haul a$$ there before work so I can hopefully get that refunded.
Not how I wanted to start my day.
67/200
That's the worst. When I moved out of my apartment after my junior year of college, my roommate promised that he would return the cable modem after I cancelled our internet. He didn't. The reminders and eventually the bill went to that address, so obviously I wasn't getting them. Then they finally got ahold of me by phone and wanted something like $600 in charges, late fees, interest, whatever. I told them they were crazy and bargained them down to a $50 fee if we returned the modem that day. Then I called the roommate and guilt tripped him into returning the modem immediately and paying the $50.
My last cable company Comcast did that to me. Although I moved, they talked me into doing a self install you keep all the equipment and when you get to the new place you call and they walk you through the set up. So I kept the box like they told me to, they then went ahead and charged my account the $250/$300. I called and bitched them a new one- so they 'refunded' the account. Well that account had already been closed since it was for my old address. I told them to credit my current open account and they said they "couldn't." How the hell can you credit a closed account but you can't credit an open active account? You morons -- I seriously called them every other day for a month and finally gave up. Those effers still owe me. I will say the second happiest day of my life was when I told them to cancel all my stuff for good.
