Has anyone ever figured this out?  I have as many points as many of the posters here and more than almost anyone I've seen on my other frequent board (NBC) yet I'm one of the newer posters and have hardly over 600 posts.  WTF?  Lol.

They are awarded based on how much sht you can cram into your signature.

I think they're based on response. 

Let's say you start a thread and no one reply's to it? You might get 10 points for posting the thread and that's it.

But if you post a thread and 25 people reply to it, you'll get 10 points for starting it and let's say, 5 points for every response. That adds up.

The only reason I am thinking this is because another forum I post on does this.

I got 15 points for a post
5 points to the person I "replied" too

I've heard it has something to do with how many views your posts get and how often you're quoted.  But I have no idea if that's true.
