Has anyone seen The Avengers?

I called in sick to work yesterday and ended up going by myself yesterday afternoon, which was awesome, except that I have no one to talk to about it.

I loved it.  I thought all of the actors were really, really good in their characters.  I loved the interactions between the characters.  I thought it was smart and funny and the fight scenes were fun and exciting.

The day I left was just my beginning.

Re: Has anyone seen The Avengers?

  • I was forced to go but actually did enjoy it.  I thought it was about 40 minutes too long but it was well done.  Much better than all of the individual movies that came out about the characters.

    We're kind of going out.
  • I loved it! I've seen it twice.

I might go see it again with my nephew especially since Im pissed I missed the second clip after the credits.

    Dont judge me! Embarrassed

  •  I haven't heard one thing bad about it.

I'm going to see it with DS#3 on Friday.  He's already seen it but liked it so much he's going back for more.

  • Twice?  Wow.  lol.  Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

I've never seen any of the individual movies.  I thought it was a perfect length, and I was glad they took the time in the beginning to introduce each of the characters.

  • Going to go see it when DH gets back.

  • Son of a b!tch, there was a second clip?  I knew we should have stayed!

We went this weekend and loved it.   I think my favorite character was the Hulk, I thought Mark Ruffalo did a fantastic job with him.

I know Embarrassed I saw it back in early April at a free screening. H didnt go with me so we went to see it together this past Friday.

I thought it was so funny.

  • I'm generally neutral on super hero movies but I absolutely loved The Avengers.  The one liners had me rolling and I really enjoyed the dynamics between the characters.

Yes! And some of the interactions with Loki.  I was going to say which but I dont want to spoil anything.

  • I feel like I need to watch all the other movies first.  What are the other movies again?  I have see the first iron man, hulk maybe, and Thor?  what else is there?  iron man 2

I only saw the first Iron Man and Captain America and I was ok. They do a good job of making sure you understand the characters.

  • Oh, I forgot about Captain America.  DH hates these types of movies, so I haven't kept up like I used to.  I am a sucker for a good superhero type movie.  He ruins it with his assholecommentary.

I was forced to go, and liked it. I thought it was really clever, and very well done.

  • My husband & I really want to go see it....and so does my oldest daughter lol. She's only 3.5 but she LOVES the Hulk. She even has the baby hulk stuffed doll but I don't think it would be age appropriate to take her to see it. She gets super excited when she sees the preview and yells "look momma!! It's the Hulllllk!!!" lol. I'm glad to hear its a good movie :o)

::insert Joss Whedon fangirl gushing here::

Yes. I came for the dialogue, stayed for the bitchin' action scenes. I saw it twice, loved it both times.

    Eighth Anniversary

I loved it! I had seen all the other movies except Captain America, so that helped, but I don't think it's really required to understand this movie.

I walked out of there not knowing if I loved The Hulk or Iron Man more, though all the actors did an amazing job. I'm going to go see it again tomorrow.

Oh, and I must say, Joss Whedon (the director) is one of my favorite people ever. I have loved him since Firefly, and he just seems to get better and better!

  • H and I are going later today.

We rented Iron Man and Iron Man 2 last night (and stayed up until about 1AM watching them) so that I could be at least a little bit up to speed on the character background, and I thought that they were both really good, so I'm pretty excited to see The Avengers now.
