hahahaha. what a dumb poll, right?
But seriously - anything you hate about one or the other color for a phone? I didn't think and just got a black coffee table w/ a piece of glass over it and I forgot that any dirt GLOWS on a black slick surface, so that's currently driving me a little insane. I've wondered if the shiny black phone would be like that too.
I'll have it in an otterbox case probably all the time b/c I'm a super big klutz so maybe color doesn't matter at all.
I'd prefer it the phone in red, but that's not an option.
That way it'd be faster.

Re: iphone - white or black
I have a white one, but dh got it for me so i didn't have a choice...AND its covered in an otterbox anyway!
I don't think it makes a difference.

I have black. I've seen the white (that I thought I wanted) and I don't like it- even in a case. I have mine in an Otterbox and even w/ that - there would be 2 white stripes at the top and bottom. My case looks better w/ black.
And even w/ a white phone, th escreen itself is still black.

Get white.
Paint red with nail polish.
Walla!
It shouldn't matter since it will be well protected in an otterbox, right?
I have a white one, in a white and purple otterbox.
lol thanks. I knew I was being silly.
Didn't know there was a wait list for white. That probably decides it for me.
re nailpolish. I used to paint my toy cars red w/ nailpolish when I was a kid. I learned early on that acetone melts plastic. I didn't like the way the red was covering the blue on one and tried to remove it and melted one of my favorite cars.
Oh, and I will say I went with bright colors because I tend to lose everything. I can spot purple and white from across the room. DH got the black otterbox initially, then got a red and black one (stupid Georgia colors) just so he could it. Dark tables, bed spreads, and couches were not in his favor with the black.
I lose my black palm pre in the couch all the freaking time. Black couches, plus slim and falls in the cracks.
Especially tough when the battery dies and I can't find the damn thing.
Was it you that posted icantfindmyphone.com years ago? Or was that Moaning? whoever it was, I thank you as I use it all the time since I'm usually alone when I can't find my phone!
What's the name of the app?
I have a white iPhone and I love the look of it
I also don't use a case, because I like to tempt fate like that.
Rock on. I need that app!
I need a case. I go through phones like crazy, so dh and I are both nervous about me making the switch. Sprint ppl told me they're going to roll out their own coverage of the iphone this summer though - much like my current phone coverage, and the enrollment will be open, so that reassures me a bit. I'll do applecare in between but I hear it's not fabulous coverage and still a large fee for replacement, but I haven't looked at is as much as I should.
I am pretty sure it's called "Find my iphone". It works for all apple devices and we have both our iphones (DH and I) as well as the ipad and ipod on there. We love it and have used it quick a few times! It also lets you remotely password protect your phone or wipe it completely in the event that it gets lost. I left mine in a store and used the app to locate it and lock it until I could go find it. It's great!
OP, I love the white one. Every time I use DH's black one I get my powder makeup all over it and it's much more visible on his. However, I don't have an otterbox on either; just an invisible shield and a normal rubbery case.

tdk - go with the Lifeproof case instead of the Otterbox.
The Otterbox makes your phone a lot heavier so the force of impact when dropped can actually do more damage than the sleeker cases.
The Otterbox also insulates the phone and can cause problems with battery life.
Apple prefers the Candyshell by Speck but that's only because it's been out long enough for Apple to know that it won't cause the issues the Otterbox does. They haven't endorsed the Lifeproof case but that's only because it hasn't been out as long. Those I've talked to who work for Apple - retail and corporate - prefer the Lifeproof for those who are really hard on their phones.
