Re: my birch box shipped!
I love getting little packages every month.
Pseudonim, I usually get things like nail polish, lip gloss (I got a full-sized Tarte Lipsurgence stick last month, which is awesome), a lot of moisturizers. And random weird things like stick-on eyeliner decals. And occasionally really f*cked-up things like the time they sent me some of Tom Colicchio's granola or something, and I was like, What am I supposed to do with one tablespoon of f*cking granola?

I generally like getting things in the mail, and like trying new stuff, so for me it's worth 10 bucks a month. If I start to get bored with it, i'll cancel, but i'm liking it for now
This sounds AWESOME to me, BUT, I just cleaned out the linen closet and threw away about 100 bottles of random stuff ranging from lotion to face wash to who knows what. I'm trying to simplify our house so this would go against that. But the idea is really appealing to me. I love samples. :-)
eta: Can you get just one or is it a monthly subscription thing?
Mine did also. I really like birchbox for the most part but their customer service isn't great.
My sister and I in the past three months have had missing items which they won't replace and the last order she placed for full sized product was shipped to her with the wrong items. Not only that, but they have no idea what they sent her so they keep emailing her wanting to know what they shipped to her incorrectly so they can either bill her or have her send it back.
I dig the points system and have received about 60 in free products so for that alone I think I will stick with it.
I tried myglam and that was awful. This seems to be the only good option at the $10 price point.
Daycare is SO exhausting!

No, you can just get one if you want.
And you can also send them as gifts to people! Which is something that I would like... and I might do this for my friend who has been thinking about trying it, but hasn't committed yet.
Hmmm. Maybe I'll get just one to satisfy my craving for getting samples in the mail. :-) I'm picky about products so chances are I wouldn't start using anything that comes in it but it would be fun to try once!
it's a make up/ beauty supply sample box that comes in the mail every month. it sometimes also has full size products in it. it costs $10 a month . its fun if you like to try new things.
I bought a little tub from Target specifically to hold all the samples. lol. I love samples too.
