I think it's so weird kids don't get chicken pox anymore.
When I was a whippersnapper, moms took kids chicken pox parties at whoever was infected's house to get it out of the way.
Except I never caught it and ended up not getting chicken pox until I was 12 and it sucked.
I guess anti-vaxxer kids can have a good old fashioned poxy childhood.

The parties always remind me of the South Park episdoe where the kids steal the parents' toothbrushes and give them all herpes.
Herpes. Ha.

I do not, in any way, consider myself and anti-vaxer, but I never intended to give my kids this specific vaccination.
I changed my mind this year and went through with it only b/c you get ZERO options as an employee when it comes to taking care of your children.
I have three kids, if they all got pox one after the other, I could possibly be out of work for 2 weeks taking care of them.
FMLA will not cover you if caring for a person with chicken pox. Which I think is shiit.
I realized I couldn't take this chance.
I cannot imagine both the kids having chicken pox, one after the other. Aside from teh sheer misery of the illness, and the scarring, it's the staying home for weeks. OMG. Our school/daycare wouldn't let kids back until ALL their scabs had fallen off, which for some people was three to four WEEKS. And you had to keep paying daycare, too, even if your kid was not there for three weeks, or you'd lose your place.
My kids were vaccinated as soon as that sucker was available.
i feel all wilty rose that you wtf'd me.

i think it's AWESOME.

UGH. This is even dumber-
