I need help getting more protein in my diet...

I eat a lot of veggies and fruit everyday but I'm noticing I'm hungry a lot through out the day so I'm thinking I need to incorporate more protein in my diet. I need some recommendations on how to add more protein for breakfast and lunch, TIA!

Re: I need help getting more protein in my diet...

  • For breakfast: Greek yogurt, eggs, peanut butter on toast, Kefir (drinkable yogurt), cheese and nuts

    Lunch: beans, hummus, tofu, edamame

Then of course you could eat meat, not sure if you are a vegetarian or not.

  • Nuts are my go-to for more protein/fat. Almonds are super filling. I also make my own protein bars (whey,natural/homemade almond butter or peanut butter, oatmeal, etc).

I also hard boil a bunch of eggs on Sunday so I have them as grab-and-go protein throughout the week.

  • Do you eat snacks during the day?  I usually have a veggie and fruit or snack 2x a day.  Some suggestions are veggies and hummus or cheese, greek yogurt and fruit, nuts, almond butter on an apple or banana.

For breakfast I have been eating these protein pancakes:

I also eat a lot of eggs for breakfast in either omelet or quiche form.

For lunch I usually just take leftovers or a salad with chicken.  I try and limit my pasta or use spaghetti squash instead of pasta.

  • Nuts, eggs, chicken, protein powder drink or smoothie in the morning, cheese are my go-to protein foods.

  • I eat a lot of tuna, eggs, chicken and protein bars. I really like the Pure Protein. I look for ones that have low calories/fat and sugar. Also, greek yogurt!
