What can you tell me? I would love to commit to a half especially a Disney one but I'd like more info and I know some of you have participated.

Re: Disney princess half
I did it as my first half this February and loved it! Definitely would not try to PR this one as it was really crowded in spots. The atmosphere was great and we turned it into a family vacation and had a wonderful time. We did 4 days in the parks before and I was pretty tired on race day...still had a good race, but probably could have done better if we hadn't done so much walking before. Let me know if you have any specific questions!
It's a really fun race. If it's your first half, it would be a good one--there's lots of entertainment, and the vibe is just really fun and supportive. Registration isn't cheap for a half, but we more than made up for the cost with what my mom, sister, and I saved in discounted park tickets.
My recap from 2011 is here.

I had a really great time running the Princess Half this year. I was so, so excited the night before, I felt like a little kid, and it lived up to everything I hoped it would. It being my first race longer than a 5K, I didn't really know what to expect. I had read a bunch of people complaining about the early start or long lines or whatever, but these didn't bother me in the least.
I made a race recap video for my friend's blog, it can be found here:

It's almost all women having fun so it's good for a first time. Just be aware that it's crowded to the point that you are at a standstill at times.
