4 year old gets coach purse

Someone on my fb posted a picture of her 4 year old's new Coach purse form her aunt and uncle.  I just can't believe how ridiculous this is.

it might be a knock off or it might be a hand me down, you never know...

  • I bought my 12 year old a coach purse for Christmas.  Granted it was only $70.  But 4 years old? NO WAY!

  • I'd be more impressed if it was a Chanel classic flap.  ;)

    Who cares, really.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a hand me down or knock off. She had a picture of it in a coach box and packaging.

If her aunt and uncle really cared, they'd have bought Hermes. Coach is for plebeians!

    kiss it, nest.
  • Meh, if auntie and uncle have that kind of money to toss around, so be it. And maybe it's just a hand-me-down the aunt had laying around. I can't seem to get to riled up about it.

  • My MIL bought DD a vera bradley wristlet.  She was one and a half.  I couldn't have rolled my eyes any harder.
    Shot first, questions later.
  • All I can think is if my 4 yr old DD got a Coach purse from her Aunt & Uncle she'd all "WTF?? Where are the My Little Ponies??" lol

My kid is eight and I'm sure she'd be looking for the hello kitty lol.

  • I let my 4YO DD1 carry my Coach wristlet when she wants to take a purse somewhere. She puts pennies it in, puts her arm through the strap and carries it like a regular purse, which makes me laugh.

I rarely use it, so I figure she might as well. She neither knows nor cares what Coach means to anybody else; to her it's an iffy substitute for her sister's Rapunzel purse. ;)

I would never buy her one of her own, though.
