What are you getting your mom for Mother's day?

I am completely stumped. I really don't know what to get my mom so I'm wondering what everyone else is getting for their mom.

  • A card.  I may get her some flowers as well.

  • I bought her a book.....that I keep forgetting to put in the mail.  Thanks for reminding me.

  • I know this is odd but each of the kids puts their money in each year for the past five years or so and gets her a tree. It's what she wants, so she's happy. We take a picture as a family in front of the trees each year and it's nice to see the trees and family grow too.
  • I'm having an assortment of imported cheeses delivered to her house.  Cheese is our family's crack.

Flowers and I made her a nice dinner last weekend.

We are going away this weekend, so we celebrated with my mom last weekend.

  • I'm not sure yet.  We usually just do brunch at my sister's house and I'll bring her a card and maybe a gift cert to Starbucks or Caribou, but we can't make it this year.  So maybe either dinner out or a card and gift cert to a restaurant she and my dad like?  They're both retired now and don't have as much money for extra stuff like dinners out, so I think they appreciate the gift cards.

  • I have no idea. Probably something for her garden.

  • For my mom I'll just call and say "happy mothers day"

for H's mom (they make a huge thing about any little holiday) we'll likely go to her house and we need to get a gift that's about $50-75 ....I have no clue as to what that gift will be though. kinda running out on time though.

  • I think my sister and I are considering taking her to a movie.  We rarely go, so it would be something different.  I haven't bothered to look up to see if anything good is playing, though.
  • I have no idea and today is the last day for me to come up with something since it has to be shipped.  My mom turns 60 in two weeks so I wanted to get her something extra awesome, but I really have no idea what to get her.  :(

  • I'm taking both my mom and my MIL for a girls day, Lunch, massages, and mani/ pedis.

    Anniversary
  • A grandchild?

IDK. H picked out cards. We're having his mom over for brunch, so that should be sufficient. Maybe I'll have a plant shipped to my mom.

  • I sent her this Harry and David gift box.  She loves sweets.

In the past, I have sent her things from Crabtree & Evelyn like this.

A few years ago, I sent her stuff from Red Envelope but I don't see it on their site now.

This is what I was thinking I might do with her. Lunch and mani/pedis. I think she'll like to do something together instead of a gift.

For both mom and MIL, I'm getting a double frame and putting a pic from our maternity shoot in one side and leaving the other side for a pic from Joanna's newborn shoot. And we'll probably get both of them flowers too.
  • I think DD and I will take her to brunch, then do something girly after - pedi, maybe?

a card. we don't do gifts for mother's or father's day.
    I like privacy. A lot.
  • I get her a plant every year. This year I am driving down to surprise her - I'm about 4 hours away on business and I figure she will go nuts when I show up. I look forward to actually helping her plant the plant I get her this year! :)
  • This is probably going to sound cheesy but my mom loves hanging out by the pool so I'm doing a "beach basket" with littler things like a new thermos, beach towel, etc.
  • We got my mom a keurig and I am making her dinner on Sunday. Her birthday is next week though so it is a birthday/mother's day gift.

We'll send MIL an edible arrangement.

I think that is sweet.  Are all the trees in a row on the property? Are they all different trees or the same type each year?  Fruit trees? Ornamental?

  • Got MIL a Willow Tree figurine.

Stepmom a Starbucks gift card, tea, and a nice lotion.

Mom nice soap, little candle, and a nice lotion.

  • MIL - microdry foam bath mat & new shower curtain + card
my mom - microdry foam bath mat & hanging flower basket + card

We're going to my parents on Sunday and I'm making these for all the mother's:

  • Mom got a year grandparent membership to the zoo, with the plus two guests add-on, so she can take other grown-ups with her. We're making brunch at our house on Sunday, and I may also get her a plant just to piss my dad off, lol.

We just send a card to SMIL because h finds it a little bit awkward and difficult. I think I'm going to be able to talk him into sending flowers from dd, though, since she is grammie through and through.

  • The pottery program at our local parks & rec center had their spring pottery sale last weekend. Both my mom and MIL are getting pieces from that.

I got my mom a very cool dish, and a mug and vase for MIL.

  • I'm getting her a gift card to our favorite day spa.  I'm taking a day off next week and taking her.
  • I made her a plate shaped like a fish (it will be late, I just glazed it yesterday), and got her a necklace and a card.

I'm taking a pregnancy test on Friday if my period is still MIA. I just joked with my H that it could double as a Mother's Day gift and potentially her birthday depending on the exact timing.
