I spent how much money on a law degree?? This is the essential conversation I am having with a client:
Client: Can I please violate civil and criminal laws
Me: No
Client: What if I have investors in my criminal enterprise? Then can I violate the law?
Me: No.
Client: What if I incorporate myself with the state and have my investors incorporate with the state, then can we all break the law together, you know, because we will be incorporated with the state so it will be okay then right?
Me: ::GOES POSTAL:: NO BREAKING THE LAW. NO NO NO NO NO.
Client: What if I am breaking the law for a business purpose to make money.
Me: ARRRRRRUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.

Next time Client asks: Yes. If you want to spend x time in jail, pay $x in fines, and $x in legal fees to me.

I get super frustrated because I consider him to be smarter than me overall. I guess basic concepts elude some folks.
We should start a betting pool. Somewhere that it is legal of course. And not bet money, because that would make someone a bookie.
