Re: S/O: Curtains sellers left - clicky
The sellers of our house removed the hideous custom valances...and then a day after settlement, he must have had a change of heart because we found them on our front porch. They went right into the trash.
They did, however, leave the valances in our family room and it worked out because they are simple and match our colors perfectly. They would have been expensive to replace, too, considering we have 7 large windows in that room.
I kept them temporarily until we did the renovating/decorating for that room. Then I purchased new window treatments when the room was no longer going to have messy work done. Usually after it was painted.
Some rooms had old curtains for 1-3 months --- other rooms for 1-3 years.
