Moving

Hi :) I'm coming over from TB, where I was told some of u ladies are pretty knowledgable on most things fur baby related. I have two rescue catahoulas who are me and DH's world! We are closing on our house this Thursday and will begin moving. We will stay the night at the new house Thursday night. I am just wondering if anyone has any advice or tips for a smooth transition into the new house for the dogs. TIA :)

Re: Moving

  • A tiny bit more info if it will help at all...we rescued august at 3 months from a shelter and mason at five moths from a catahoula rescue org where he was in foster care. Both dogs are obedience school grads (one is a certified therapy dog) so super well behaved. They have just never lived w us at any other house.

  • I would move the pets over last, that way when they get into the new environment they still recognize all the stuff they are used to. The smells are really important for them to not get stressed out. GL with the move!
