Short Rib Recipes

I bought some short ribs at our local famer's market yesterday.  I love ordering them at restaurants but have no idea how to cook them.  Anyone have any pointers or any delicious recipes?

Re: Short Rib Recipes

  • I just made some from an Emeril Lagasse recipe. Yummy! I didn't use his BBQ sauce in recipe but used whatever was in the kitchen. Good Luck! I always have to try different recipes to see which one is the best. Oh these cook in the oven...not sure how to do on the grill.

  • I'm making ribs right now. :)

I usually do a dry rub. I lost my recipe and have searched everywhere online but have not found it. So today I am making it up. I make a mix of garlic salt, onion powder, pepper, cayenne, cumin, oregano, paprika, smoked paprika and a tiny bit of cinnamon. It smells good.

I rubbed the ribs with the dry rub (all over). I put on top of a long sheet of tin foil, covered it with another sheet of tin foil and folded them together around the sides so the juices don't leak. I'm cooking it at 300 for 4 hours (I think - I'll have to check on it).
