Hey everyone. I haven't been on here in forever, but I could really use some insight.
I grew up in Orange County and moved to Roseville a few years ago. DH and I got married last September. Neither DH or I have a large group of friends, and those friends that we do have all live at least 30 minutes away. DH has been working at the same job for nearly 8 years now and just hasn't ever clicked with any of his co-workers. I work as a part time pet sitter and am starting a photography business (high school senior girl portraits). Neither of those jobs allow me to really meet people my age (23). DH works night shifts and I find that I really wish I had a (small) group of girl friends, or even married couples. I just have no idea how to go about meeting people my own age. I thought about a photography meet up, but it seems like most, if not all, of the people in the groups are 35+. I also have dogs, but I rarely ever see anyone under 60 at the dog park (I live near a senior community).
I'm at a loss! Any ideas?
Re: Making new friends
hi hollyjo
i am in lincoln. just turned 24 and have a 5 month old daughter and two cats. i am always up for a park walk or mall stroll. i dont work mon tues or wed. if you are ever interested.
i think most of my friends are either from high school, college or work, so sorry no real advice.
We have a summer cabin in Davis which is not too far from you. I'm a seasonal local and when I don't have friends up with me, I go stir crazy. Can you private message on here? If so, send me a message and we can chat offline.

Hi there, just saw your post from a couple months ago. DH and I just got married about two weeks ago. We live in Roseville. We have the same problem, because we're both from Sonoma County. So our friends from down there come up here but not that often. And it's hard to make friends once you're out of school! This past spring we joined the Roseville City softball league (beginners). We met another couple this way, as they were looking for a team to join. So that's one suggestion.
Anyways, if you'd ever like to meet up, I am 26 and DH is 25. We work during the week but not too much during the weekends
Good luck!
