Laser hair removal - need opinions

So I'm thinking about getting this deal on living social. Has anyone heard of this place?  And does anyone have any laser hair removal tips to share? Thanks!! :)

Re: Laser hair removal - need opinions

  • Haven't heard of the place. I bought one of these deals a couple years ago, but was really bad about scheduling to go at the right intervals. Then I got pregnant...so that was pretty much a bust. I will totally do it again though when I can. (Not sure the rules for breast feeding). So, my advice it to go at the right intervals to make it effective. Also, you might want to call the place first and see how they handle the numbing cream option (which I def recommend!). The place I went charged like $30 each time which is crap! My sister went to a place where she just bought like a tube or something for a one-time price.

  • I've been having laser hair removal done on my lady areas, I also got a Groupon deal. I've had 4 visits so far, and I'll probably need another 4 to get the hair completely gone. I've seen probably 50% of the hair gone. They told me 4 visits would be enough but it clearly isn't, so I'd keep that in mind. The place I've been going to allows me to buy the Groupon deal again at the same price.

Regarding the pain, it hurt a lot, so they went and got me an ice pack. Hold the ice pack firmly over the area for a good 15-20 seconds and then have them do it. I can't feel a thing after that. I couldn't tolerate it without the ice. Without the ice, it feels like when you snap yourself with a rubber band, except you're doing several snaps per second on very sensitive areas. Ouch!

    Good luck!
