We switched to paper litter since our kitty had surgery on Friday and I was wondering if there's a right or wrong way to use it. We used to use clumping clay litter so we could see where he peed and easily scoop it. We're having difficulty seeing where he has peed with the paper litter. Are you supposed to use less of it? We used to fill his box about 2 inches deep with the clay, and quickly realized we can't put that much of the paper litter in or he will sink in and be unsteady. We took out about half so it's about an inch deep. Is this still too much?

Yes, they recommended we use this for at least 2 weeks post-surgery, as the stuff we used to use would kick up dust and could stick to him or cause an infection.
