This is my first time on the D&R board and I'm hoping some of you ladies could give me some general direction.
A little less than 3 years ago my husband and I built a new home. At the time I was pregnant with my first. We just had our second child a few weeks ago. Getting the house decorated has not been a priority. The only rooms that are painted (i.e. a color other than the standard white) are the girls' rooms.
Part of the reason for this is that I've been afraid to commit to colors and I'm overwhelmed by choices. Typical of new construction, we have a pretty open floor plan, so especially for the first floor I am not sure how to pick colors that will look okay.
Any advice or resources you can recommend? Thanks!

Sherwin Williams website has a paint simulator so that you can put paint on walls to see what it would look like next to other colors. You can even download your own pictures. My husband and I used it to find colors for our dinning room and kitchen because we were afraid that the colors might clash. Hope that helps.
