'Shrooms in my garden *warning -- large picture for detail*

(I apologize in advance for the large picture, but I wanted people to be able to see them well.)

These mushrooms are all over my little vegetable garden. Anyone have a clue what they are, and what it might mean? I have everything planted in Miracle Gro topsoil, covered in mulch. Maybe the spores just came along in the bag?

  • The spores might have just blown in on the wind.  Have you had a lot of rain recently?  Fungi are a fact of life in the garden.
  • Yes, we did have a lot of rain over the weekend, but I had seen them before that. The backyard is Fescue, so H waters pretty aggressively. I just wanted to make sure they weren't a sign of the soil composition needing any kind of amendment.
