Shrimp recipes for beginner
Does anyone have any recipes for a beginner that wants to make shrimp? Also, what kind of shrimp do I buy? Thanks!
Re: Shrimp recipes for beginner
Fresh shrimp are better than frozen in my opinion, but I don't think deveining them is something that a first time shrimp cooker should deal with.
You can buy the frozen ones deveined and/or peeled. It's going to depend on the recipe you use. The numbers on the bag indicate how many shrimp there are per pound. I usually get ones around 30 per pound.
Here are some of my favorite recipes that I make a lot.
Shrimp bisque, shrimp scampi I, shrimp scampi II, shrimp and pasta, shrimp fried rice, dirty rice with shrimp
I feel like Bubba from Forest Gump.
Hope that helps you.
Married / The Cookaholic Wife
I seriously love shrimp and have a lot of easy recipes on my blog. Some use frozen for quick weeknight meals.
