Would you take your students/send your kids to this?
I saw this article on the Sentinel today about the Nickelodeon hotel marketing itself as a field trip destination. Even though they claim its educational, it doesn't sound too educational to me.

What do y'all think: teachers would you take your kids there? Moms would you let them go (if they were old enough)?
Re: Would you take your students/send your kids to this?
I haven't heard of that, but there is NO WAY I would take my first graders on an overnight field trip, so there ya go. And, we're organizing our first field trip for December right now, and there are SO many overprotective parents who aren't letting thier kids go, it's not even funny.
To me, it sounds like a ploy to make $
My thoughts exactly.
I wouldn't allow my son to attend. ?I don't see anything truly educational in the trip.
?
I do love Matt's school. ?When a field trip is proposed, the teacher must tie it into the benchmarks.?
This is true for all public schools. They have to have benchmarks, objectives, and be part of the curriculum.

Matt goes to a private school, but it's good to know public schools are doing it too.
