Baby scale?

Does anyone have a baby scale they are looking to sell (or rent) to me? Baby B needs to be packing on the pounds and I feel like being able to weight her might help me feel like the hard work is paying off.

Re: Baby scale?

  • Are you going to the BF group at MMC  Scarborough on Tuesdays?  I used to do MJ's weekly weigh ins there.  Plus I loved both that group and Mothering circle on thursdays... made some great friends and learned lots as a new mom!

  • I have one you can borrow if you're willing to give it back in about 3 months. :)

  • Kimberly's is a good one too!  I borrowed it when the boys were little too!

  • I decided to track using my weight and my weight with her in my arms at least through Tuesday when we go back to the doctor for yet another weight check. I am planning to go to some groups if for no reason than to get out of the house. Kimberly, what scale do you have? I am going to get $100 to spend on Amazon from my insurance company for talking to them during third trimester, so I could always just buy my own. You'll need it so soon! Where has the time gone?!?

  • I think this looks like the one I have (mine is currently in the attic): http://www.amazon.com/Salter-Electronic-Baby-Toddler-Scale/dp/B00009KX5U/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1337987518&sr=8-3

Time has flown. If Cookie arrives as early as Helen did (37w), I only have 3 months to go. Indifferent I'm not ready yet!

Awesome! That's the one I was thinking of buying anyways.

I hope for your sake that cookie doesn't make for 41 weeks like B did! She was worth it, but goodness it was a long wait!

  • You can have a public health nurse come to your house and weigh her. They will work with your schedule and it's free!

This. MMC should have given you the indoor call their LC's. We didn't end up using the nurse since DD went to the Dr once a week for weigh ins. If the Dr really thinks there is an issue you'll do the same. I'd say borrow or just go to meetings. The scale is really only helpful the first month or so, you won't need it by the time Cookie comes :)
