Recipe Using Strawberries

I'm hosting a bbq on Monday and have about 4 pounds of strawberries in my refrigerator. My mind has drawn a blank on what to make with them. I'd prefer something that isn't pie or cake, just because it would be easier for my guests to just grab one or two, rather than having to cut a slice.

So, what are your best summer strawberry recipes?

I don't have any specific recipes, but things that came to my mind include

strawberry cheesecake bars/cups of some sort

strawberry muffins

chocolate dipped strawberries

you can also put them in a green salad or fruit salad if you are planning one

make fresh strawberry margaritas

You could do some cream cheese stuffed strawberries.  I just make the filling and chill it overnight and then on day of just slice the strawberries partway to make room for filling and fill with pastry bag.  I made my filling with 8oz cream cheese, about 1/2 cup powdered sugar and a tsp of vanilla but there are lots of recipes online.

I absolutely love making lemon shortbread tarts topped with lots of strawberries. Joy of Cooking has a lovely recipe!

Its my go-to dessert during the warmer seasons
