Can I be an AW for a minute?
I decided to craft our holiday cards this year and just got around to starting them tonight...i really like how they are coming out! but i'm really going to have to get a move on if i want these all done by next week

Are you including a newsletter or pic?
we're not....we usually do photo cards but we just did photo thank you cards for the wedding and i don't want to go over board. As for the newsletter, i have a wierd hang up on them - i love to recieve them and read about how people are doing, but can't bring myself to do one for us in fear of seeming pretentious. But, i do write personalized notes in them all usually including a brief update for people we dont see often. its my compromise
do you do a newsletter? what are your thoughts on them?

I've always done standard cards. Newletters AND photocards creep me out a little (i like to recieve newsletters though, but the pretentious thing to write...) but C wants to do one of them.
I'm toying with making (or buying?) cards and enclosing a wedding pic since we didn't do it for TYs. Is that weird?
Also, side note, did you have templates? I'm super impressed by these...

We only started doing photo cards once we had the boys. Well, actually we didn't get any cards out their first Christmas! We need to work on getting a picture for this year - easier said than done since no one wants to sit still. :P
oh, i absolutely had templates! i may be crafty but i'm not all that creative, lol.
i dont think enclosing a wedding pic is weird, especially for close family and friends - i woudl really like it, myself. And you could make your message tie in the picture ie. "It was an exciting year for the ___ family, and we hope 2008 brought you special memories as well! ect ect ect"
