I'm curious about what everyone else does for (any) holiday traditions! Please tell me all about them (little or big)! I'm looking for some new ideas.

We like to do a haunted house with a different theme every year for Halloween ( I still don't have one for this year...yeesh!) and it becomes a huge family project.
We have a similar decorating frenzy hit us once Christmas rolls around, but its the same decorations every year. I also send an annual Christmas card that I make on Shutterfly with a family photo and a little letter telling all the friends and family what we've been up to since last Christmas. We rotate between our house, or my sister's for every Christmas Eve and that's when we exchange gifts. Then on Christmas day we all go to my Mom's house for dinner and desert and the kids play with their new toys together.
All in all they aren't anything to out of the ordinary but I love our little family traditions
We always have a gift exchange on my mom's side for Christmas. Everybody chooses a name on Thanksgiving, then buys a max of $10 gift for that person for Christmas.
DH's parents side has Chipino on Christmas Eve every year, then we go over to my parents to spend the night and get up by 7am Christmas morning, then go over to DH's parents again for gifts and a relaxed lunch.
Before I got married, I used to go with my parents every Christmas Eve to drive around and look at lights with hot chocolate, then we came home to watch a Christmas movie.
My dad always buys me one rose and a candy bar for Valentine's day.
We always decorate a chair for the birthday king/queen and cook them whatever they want and decorate a cake ourselves. Also, my grandpa sent me $5 every birthday until I got married.
Our dogs get Christmas stockings full of goodies to open on Christmas.
My grandparents always send me a card for my birthday. The amount matches my age.
My mom always got my sister and I a new Christmas ornament to add to the tree each year. They were specific to each of us and represented something important to us that happened that year or that we were really into. It's fun to look at her tree now, 20 some odd years later, and reflect on everything from those ice-skating lessons to that year we were obsessed with the 101 dalmations to getting accepted to college. Plus, as we got older, we were always so excited trying to guess what our ornament would be, and my mom spent a lot of time searching for the perfect ones. DH and I have continued the tradition at our house for ss, last year his ornament was Mator from Cars to put on the tree, this year it is Spiderman. I wasn't going to get ornaments for DH and I, but last year I found his, an ornament of his favorite football player (after months of searching for a jersey with no luck) I was so shocked to find this particular player that I got it for him. This year, we got married, so I am making an ornament for us to celebrate our first Christmas as a married couple. I don't know if I will continue with ornaments for us as the years go by and we add more children to the picture, but for now our tree has 4 unique ornaments and that makes it all the more special.
