Furniture store recs?

Anyone know of a good place for bedroom sets especially?

I prefer East valley, but willing to go where ever if it's a good store.  Optimal would be delivery, and pick up of old stuff if possible.  Not looking to spend a fortune on anything, just decent quality stuff.

Re: Furniture store recs?

  • We bought our bedroom set from Pruitts in Phx.  I really like their store, their prices are great and I like the quality.  They deliver, but don't haul away the old stuff.  I know they aren't really east valley, but it is in east phx.  I hate their website though....I think they keep it sparse and difficult to navigate on purpose to get people to come into their showrooms.

  • I agree w/PP about Pruitts. Our bedroom furniture is from Ikea (but I'm sure, being in the EV, you probably already thought of that). I've always been curious about The Dump, but haven't made it there yet.

  • Thanks!

We actually got bored today and went to poke around a few places.  We ended up falling in love with a collection at Ashley Furniture called Martini Suite, after going in about 5 stores.  They had pretty good sale prices today, and we got 20% off on top of that.

We actually ended up with a bedroom set (bed, dresser, 2 night stands, chest), china cabinet, entertainment center, coffee and side tables for an amount that shouldn't take us too long to pay off.  LOL

I think it's a pretty good investment set...  really good quality.  I'm super excited now to get it all here this weekend!

Oh, also, they gave us a pamphlet for Habitat for Humanity, who apparently will come pick up furniture to use in the houses they build for people. Which is awesome!  I'm glad it will go to good use.  =)

  • That is awesome about H for H info. Didn't even think of that! Hooray for new bedroom furniture and a good deal! :)

Hey, just wondering how that Ashley Martini line of furniture is holding up. I'm considering buying it and wanted to know what people think. Any feedback would be great.. thanks!

  • We really love it!   It's heavy, quality pieces for sure.  The only thing I could even begin to complain about is that it shows dust really easily, so I find myself having to clean it at least 2 or 3 times a week down here.  That's probably more the location than the items themselves though!

I would get the protection plan if you are getting tables, or if you have pets and/or kids.  I've noticed that our cats have put a few scratches the nightstands we got (they're are a step up to the window for them apparently!).  That's just what happens with real wood though I guess.  If you get the plan, you can have the tech come out and touch things up if you get any water stains or dings like that for any reason.

Overall, we really love it...  it would be awesome if we had a bit more room for it, we bought a few more pieces than we probably needed, since we're in a condo and it is bigger than it looks in the showroom, so take measurements!

  • I know a furniture store in Ireland. I had bought my bed from them and I like it very much. They also provide lifetime warranty on the structure of all the furniture. But, I think they provide their services only in Ireland. you can check their website for more information.
