Dry, cracked feet HELP

I literally get a pedicure every 10-12 days because I cannot stand how dry and cracked my feet get.  Has anyone found a truly miraculous cream, pumice or anything?   hate wearing socks to bed and cannot sleep with them on and so many people say the key to soft feet is wearing socks as much as possible.

Re: Dry, cracked feet HELP

  • I used to work at a spa and purchased one of the files they used there. Its called a Denco foot file http://www.nailiteinc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2816 and I love it. I only use it about ever three days and I follow up with Avon footworks Intensive Callus or Cracked Heel Cream (how I came across this stuff I still dont know, I'm not an Avon user). I do put socks on after I put the cream on but usually a super light pair of running socks since I am also a no sock kind of girl. I wear them just long enough for the cream to soak in and then I take them off and get on with my day.
  • I use Cutemol sometimes on my feet --- I mainly use it on my hands at night, though. I ask the pharmacist at CVS or Wallgreens to order it for me. It's made near Philly, too, which is nice.

I've told my mom and several coworkers about this stuff and they swear by it now too. I orginally heard about it from my dermatologist b/c my cuticles were bad and I have ezcema on my hands in the winter.

  • I have horribly dry skin!  Socks are truly the best way to keep your feet soft and hydrated, however I know how hard that is in the summer time!  Try Eucerin.  It's a thick ointment, similar to petroleum (which you can also use). The best time to put them on your feet is right after a shower, or at night before you go to bed.

  • Sounds funny but slather a heavy duty healing ointment like Aquaphor or just plain vaseline on your feet, cover them with seran wrap or grocery bags and put socks on or cover with hot towels. Keep this on for about an hour. I haven't done this in a while, but it works wonders. I'm sure if you do this once a day for about a week, it will do the trick. If you don't do all the other stuff, put the ointment on before bed, no need to cover with socks. I can't sleep with anything on my feet either, so I usually put Aquaphor on them and call it a night.
  • I'm in the dry & cracked foot club too, it sucks.  I get pedis on the regular and I also do the sock treatment.  I recently got this cracked heel treatment from B&BW and just started using it, so far it seems to help:

  • This is the best stuff I've found.  I was amazed at how soft and smooth my feet were after just using it once.  I tried it on a whim and am a total convert.  You're supposed to use it overnight and wear socks, but I can't stand socks in the summer so I just put it on right before going to sleep.

  • I use Kerasal. It comes in a tube I get at the drugstore or Walmart/ Target etc. I have had horrible dried and cracked feet for years. This is the only thing that works. and the size of a dime does one foot. You wash your feet before bed and apply. Then I do it in the morning too, and within 2 days your feet are better. HTH
  • I've used Zim's Crack Creme on my feet since I was 16.  You can get it on Amazon, it's miraculous.
  • I use a lotion/cream on my feet every night, and also pumice my feet regularly.  Every couple weeks, I'll soak my feet for an hour or so while I'm reading a book and then use a scrub and pumice them until all the dry skin is off and they're soft.  I follow with a foot cream, and then more lotion at night.  I work hard for my feet!
