Ok, it's been about 10 years since I've used it. I'm fair skinned and it always came out streaky and orange. I hear that there are so many great options now. I was just wondering what people recommend? Thanks!
Re: Self Tanner
St. Tropez mouse at sephora gets rave reviews.
I have a can of spray from Victoria Secret that I like, but I think it's discontiued.
I also use Norvelle color extender to extend spray tan.
For my body, Loreal Sublime, and True Blue Spa self tanner from Bath & Body Works, both are great.
For my face, I absolutely LOVE these Glow Pads by Dr. Dennis Gross from Sephora, they give me a very natural-looking glowing tan, plus have all kinds of extra good stuff for your skin:

Between me and my friends, I think we've tried everything on the market!
I like the Loreal spray, but I did get a little streaky in some places. It wasn't orangey at all.
I thought that was my favorite until I tried Faux Tan by Bare Escentuals, and it's awesome! It's a little pricier than the drugstore varieties, but it's so great. I like it and my friend with really pale skin likes it, too. It blends well with the tan I already have and it looks great on my face. Surprisingly, it actually smells good (a little citrusy) and only takes on the tanner scent for a few minutes a couple hours after you put it on. I can smell all the other kinds, but can't smell this kind.
I love Jergens Natural Glow (or any of the daily gradual tanners). I've also used the CVS brand and the Walmart (Equate) brand and they work just as well, and are less expensive.
Tips - apply regular lotion to any extra dry spots first (knees, ankles, elbows) so they don't soak in too much of the tanner. Then just apply in a circular motion all over, and don't forget to wash your palms after!
Since the tanner is gradual, it's hard to mess it up, since the color shows up a little each day. I usually do 4-5 days in a row in the beginning, then every 2 or 3 days after that to maintain.
I'm fair skinned, but I've used the Medium color.
Agreed! Love the St. Tropez mousse w/ mitt.
