XP: I need some advice

I've posted this on my regular board (NBC), but I thought you all might be able to offer some guidance.  This morning on my way to work I found a tiny kitten hunched in the very middle of the road.  I turned right around, scooped her up, discovered she was bleeding and took her straight to the vet.  They stitched up her lacerations, mended her broken leg, and had to amputate part of her tail, and they're keeping her to make sure she has no internal injuries (the vet couldn't palpitate any, but she's just so tiny).  I promised to pay all of her vet bills and absolutely will, but unfortunately we cannot keep her because of our impending move, my soon to be lack of job, and the fact that our new lease specifies that we can only have the three cats we already have.  I'm campaigning with everyone I know to find her a loving home, and so far I've got a foster home for her but not a forever home.  I've also been considering campaigning from my friends and family for donations towards her vet bills to possibly help offset our costs.  I've looked at a few websites that do that, including one called GoGetFunding.com.  Do you think this is a good idea?  Have any of you had any experience with this sort of thing?  Do you have any other suggestions.  Please help!

  • I would use Chip in for donations for care and look for a cat rescue that will post her and allow her to come to adoption events while your friend foster her.  Thanks for helping the little kitten.
