csection and working out

I had a csection March 7th, 2012.  Is it too soon to start excersing a lot now?  I have only been doing light activity but I am so tired of looking the way I do.  Any suggestions?

Re: csection and working out

  • I started running 6 weeks post c-section (I had just been walking before that) with the o.k. from my OB.  I quickly ramped up to my former level of exercise.  My incision did feel numb/weird for quite a few months when doing abs, but nothing painful.

You should be good to go unless your OB has reservations.
