Catahoula Philly

Anyone ever been there? I was going to take DH tonight, but he has gotten the plague, so I'm thinking of taking him there for crawfish next Tuesday. Has anyone eaten there? Is it good? close to authentic? what about parking? and is brooks Ok to take with us (he's 22 months)

Re: Catahoula Philly

  • havent been there yet  but heard brunch is great. parking is on street in a residential area so not as bad as CC, mostly two hour spots or meters. There is an outside seating area that I prefer since inside is small (we ate there a few times when it was Saute) and I think it would be fine to take Brooks

I've been to Catahoula twice (once for brunch; once or twice for dinner). I love it. I've never had authenic Cajun/Creole food, so I can't say if Catahoula is authentic. I had the BBQ pork po'boy.

The indoor tables are all high-tops and IIRC, the chairs are backless (but don't quote me on that). The outdoor tables are normal height, round patio tables.

It's several blocks off South Street, but parking can still be a pain on the weekends.
