Somewhat BR random weirdness

One of my CWs has a grandson who's turning 1 on Friday.  She's constantly giving me pictures of this kid.  Christmas.  Easter.  His birthday.  If there's an occassion and they took a picture of the baby for it, she gets prints made and passes them around the office.  I don't know if other people do this when they have babies/grandbabies, or if she's a little strange, haha.

  • Are you very close with her? I mean I guess its typical to give photos to people who are close friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, etc. But if you're not very close it is kind of weird

  • We work on the same "team," so I guess we work pretty closely.  But she's literally old enough to be my mother (she has a daughter one year younger than me).  We don't hang out after work or anything, lol.

  • Some people just really really really like their kids/grandkids.  My co worker literally brings in everything she makes for her daughter, brings in her camera to show us all pics all the time, brought in her girl scout sash to show us her new patches.  I'm ok with it.  At least they are being good parents/grandparents.

  • I don't mind people taking photos at all sorts of occasions and posting them on FB, but when they hand me prints (to keep) I feel weird/awkward. The first month I started nannying, the 5 y/o girl gave me her school picture and I said "aw! Thanks!" but... I didn't know what to do with it.

andplusalso, are these professional photo prints? or did they snap a photo with their digital camera and print them online?

ETA: I'm a big photo person. I don't necessarily go around showing photos to everyone, but I like looking back at photos. Even more now being with DH because he doesn't actually have that many photos of him as a youngin' and it saddens me.

  • I'm not sure why, but some people just do that. There were a few woman at my last job that every Monday morning, you had 4 new pictures on your desk. I thought she was just sharing how nice the pics turned out, so I returned them to her desk -she stopped talking to me! (I didn't mean to offend her, but she took it as a huge insult)

Both.  I have a pro print of his first birthday session on my desk right now.
