OU grads...

Have you heard of some sort of graduation rite of passage that involves getting on top of the Evans Hall roof? Some chica just died doing this.  Neither DH nor I have heard of this and given how involved we both were while at OU, I am surprised we haven't heard of it.

Re: OU grads...

  • I saw the news, but didn't know it involved the roof. And nope, I haven't heard of a tradition or ritual...

  • I haven't heard of it, but I only did a grad degree there so I missed most of the undergraduate "traditions."

  • How did you find out it was a graduation rite of passage? I've never heard of this either.

DH read it in a news article.

    Yeah, this.

Dh and I both agree there aren't any undergrad traditions unless you count throwing up and getting kicked out of the Mont.

    Which happened to me...three times.

  • I've never heard of this either.

  • I haven't heard of it either. I transferred in my junior year though, so I feel like I missed out on a lot of OU undergrad life (though apparently there wasn't much to miss out on?).

  • A friend and I were talking about this... both OU grads, just two years apart. We had also never heard of this "tradition."
