suggestions ..odd question
Hey, I'm Kasey and my husband and I just moved to Parker from Pennsylvania. I'm another newbie... I was just wondering where do people in their late 20s with no kids meet other people in this area. My husband went to college here but his friends live like an hour or more away from here and I know no one. We both have jobs and we started attending a local church but we've been here for two weeks and I have no idea where to meet people like us.
We've been hiking and doing a lot of fun outdoor things, and I love my husband but I think it'd be more fun with other people. any suggestions on where to make friends? I feel kinda silly asking this

Oh, goodness. I wish I had a good answer for you. We actually moved to Centennial/Aurora at the end of 2010 from Pennsylvania and, working from home, meeting new people has been a no go. It actually might be easier if we had kids, simply because then I'd have a chance to meet the parents.
One thing we do love to do out here is go camping at the Poudre Canyon, so I'd highly suggest that area for camping/hiking/day trips. We're also going to get involved with the HOA when we move in November, so hopefully that'll help.

We moved here 1 year ago and still trying to figure this one out. We haven't been able to do meet too many people out here either. I think this is why I am pretty active on internet boards. hehe.
No suggestions here, just some empathy.
My husband and I are in the same boat. We just moved here from Alabama about 6 weeks ago without knowing a single person here. (His job relocated us). We also have no kids and are looking for places to meet people in the same stage of life as us. Hope to hear some great suggestions!
