vulvodynia vestibulitis

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with vulvodynia/vestibulitis?

I was diagnosed nearly 2-months ago, and I am currently on medication and going through physiotherapy/accupuncture.

I was just wondering how you are dealing with this illness and your intimate relationship with your husband?

thanks.

Re: vulvodynia vestibulitis

  • Hey!

I went to a gyno specialist a while back because I had the same problem. They gave me a topical steroid that seemed to work, but nothing permanent.

I started practicing yoga and deep breathing techniques. Learning how to relax my whole body and be in control of my energy really helped for the long term.

My husband and I both recently finished college (and got married-yay!). and we've been together for over 5 years. He's always been super understanding and even practiced breathing with me.

The diagnosis, well-- sucks. You both have to find ways to work together to get around it. So hey, he loves you and he wants it to be good for you too, so he'll be down to help you get through your illness!

    Happy thoughts,
    Rachel
