Pikkolo owners

Where did you buy them?

I have an ergo, moby, and peanut shell. I love them all for different reasons but now that DS is bigger/older, he wants to face out. It seems the weight limit is pretty high (40 lbs) so I should get some decent time out of it but it's not like these things are cheap...

Re: Pikkolo owners

  • You can not faceout at 40 pounds. at 27 pds i wouldn't face m out anymore it would kill my back, i would just wear him high on my back. m is still fine facing in though too.
  • h-dubs and i both ordered them from quirky baby in princeton.  it is an online store with no brick and mortar store associated with it (i'll let h elaborate if she wants).  the owner was great and really easy to work with.

ds is tiny still (about 20lbs) and does some facing out.  he doesn't mind facing in or hanging out on my back.  i am able to pop him in (with the support belt), walk to 3 blocks to the subway, go to a baseball game, and walk home without discomfort.

  • I got mine from Quirky Baby. The lady was so awesome to work with. Because I'm a major procrastinator, I waited until the day before I needed it to get it. It was my fault though because on the website it said that the store was in Princeton. Since I work in Princeton, I thought I'd swing over at my lunch break. WRONG. Here she doesn't have an actual brick and mortar store. BUT! She was super nice and was willing to work from me. I ended up driving to her house in Princeton that day and she had it waiting for me. She was so super nice and accommodating especially because I suck and waited until the last minute. I'd highly recommend Quirky Baby.

I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong, Ering) but I think Ering got hers from QB, too.

Danica doesn't like to face in too much and loves to face out. I'm glad I went with the Pikkolo over the Ergo because it would have just been a huge waste of money since she doesn't like to face in. Girlfriend likes to see what's going on.

HA! you beat me to it! I couldn't remember if you went with QB or not. I know you asked me about it but couldn't remember if you officially got it from there.

  • Hmm, now I'm wondering if it's not worth it the heavier he gets since we have the ergo?

See how high on your back the ergo will go. I hate back carrying in the ergo the guy always hangs to low IMO.

Also I bought mine used for 70 bucks on the baby wearer. It was in great condition.
