Would you rather...

a gift certificate to a good restaurant for dinner with your DH or a certificate for a mini family photo shoot?

A friend of mine let DS and I crash at her place during a last minute trip to NY.  I want to send a thank you gift.  Initially, I thought of the photo shoot since my sister is a photographer...and a good one.  But then I wondered if that would be weird, that I'd be paying my sister for a service as a thank you to someone else?  Then I thought of the restaurant gc as an alternative.

Which would you rather receive?

Re: Would you rather...

  • Since I have a child, I'd love a photo shoot, but I'd think both would go over well.

  • I think they are both equally good.  Personally, I'm looking around for photos for my newborn in September, so I'd love a photoshoot.

  • I agree, I think both would work. The photoshoot would be great if she has children. I guess it just depends on the kind of person she is! I hope you figure it out ;]

  • If they have kids and need pics, I'd do the photoshoot.

  • I think they would be happy with either, but I'd rather get the photo shoot.  Dinner is a one-time thing, but they'll have the photos forever.
