Re: Where is everyone today?
I'm feeling a million times better today, so I'm busy trying to catch up on work.
I got a pass to Book Expo America so I was in the city all morning getting ALL THE BOOKS. OMG. I could barely walk back to the train.
Now I'm here nesting!

My Blog
It's my last day of the school year. I'm suuuuper bored b/c I got all graded/checked out early b/c I teach seniors (who finish a week early to determine graduation status). I'm kind of in this weird, surreal, I dont know what to do cloud... I'm so used to having a bazillion things to do, I'm not sure what to do when I stop, lol.
In terms of the speech below. I find it interesting. He has a point but I disagree in that looking at my students on graduation day, they were each special in their own way. For example, one student, C... there is no one like him with his exact combination of skills and personality in the world. So, yes, that bothers me. They are special and they are not like the other however many hundreds of thousands of people or whatever. So, not my favorite speech. I think my speech went well. It's not going down in the record books for the best or the worst but it did draw some awwws and some chuckles from my students and that is what is important. They were beaming at me and I have to say my cheeks hurt with pride and joy as I watched them. Also, because I was a speaker, I got to stand on the stage and shake each graduate's hands. I had every single one of them in my class so I have to say, I have never felt more pride and more utter joy for students in my career. Also, because I planned, organized and executed the graduation, I was extra proud. A few people even said it was the best graduation they'd ever attended.
Anyway, hope you're all enjoying your Thursday!!
Crystal - I'm glad everything went so well with your speech and graduation! What a great way to end your time there!
I'm here! Trying to get stuff done that I've been needing to do for weeks. I'm realizing that all Mr. Seconds does when I'm at work all day is sleep.
Hoping to head out for a run in a little bit and maybe do some yoga after.
