Swimming & triathlons
So, I need some guidance and help. A friend is trying to talk me into a sprint tri in about 8 weeks and I'm solid with the biking and running - its the swimming that is going to do me in. The tri is a 500m swim, 8mi bike, 3mi run.
I went for a trial swim today and made it about 150m before I called it a day - swimming is freaking hard! My form switched all over the place and there were rest breaks but I survived.
What are the chances I'll make it up to 500m in 8 weeks? Preferably 500M w/o breaks?
And, how do I get to that point? What do I need to do to improve my strokes, endurance and what not?
