Hi,
I want to ask you all your opinion on what bank to use...I am newly married to my hubby and have not been through a move or a deployment yet. I would like a bank that is easy to work and dependable with our situations of moving and such...

Re: banks
USAA all. The. Way.
They are freakin' rock stars. Everyone that works with USAA were AD themselves, or related to someone that is... They know what it's like and are INCREDIBLE with customer service.
They understand the complications that come with being military since that's who they focus on as far as clients go.
Seriously, amazing. H had a personal account and savings account, then opened up a credit card.. Then in a simple call, had a joint account added and his paycheck switched to that, added a new personal account for me to use (so we have a main account, and our own personal accounts attached to it), added me to the credit card and savings account, etc.. all in one simple all.. seriously blew our minds.lol.
They make life so easy.. We have had charges wrong and they fix it, they call when they see suspicious activity, they get new cards out to us in a matter of a couple days when need be, etc.
I have had Wells Fargo, AFCU, Navy Fed, and BoA . But I will NEVER leaveUSAA now.
I have had a USAA account since I was 16 (go daddy). This allowed me to get my own car insurance (the best in the world - take it from someone who has had cars insured in Europe and Asia) and renters/home owners insurance (they are the ONLY place to get insurance in FL).
We have all f our main accounts (banking, insurance, loans, money management) through USAA.
The only issue we have with USAA is depositing cash, which is very important when overseas. So we always open a small account where ever we are stationed for the ease of quick banking.
We have an incredible loan rate for our home with USAA.. you just have to catch it at the right time.. costs of refinancing is also usually cheaper with USAA..
We have homeowners, car, life, and ring insurance with USAA.. no complaints yet.

My hubby and I use Navy Fed for our joint account (I'm in the process of getting rid of my Bank of American account.) I don't know much about the perks of it however I know that we are safe. They always give me a call to make sure the charges overseas (he's on deployment) and outside of our duty station location are legit.
