Omg what a disaster!

I bought this pretty off white colored subway tile with a crackle glaze finish and installed it with the help of my brother. I went back to the specialty tile store where I bought it and had a long discussion with the manger about grout. I finally selected a mocha colored grout and grouted tonight. Well the grout stained the crackle and it looks terrible! What I'm thinking is the tile should ave been sealed first! But the manager never ever told me to seal it before applying the grout. So now I'm pissed. Does anyone knw hw I can correct the problem? Is the store liable for not telling me to seal it first? I'm so upset it looks horrible I could cry.

Hmm, I don't know much about this sort of thing, but is it possible it's just haze from the grout? When I do my stepping stones I sometimes have to scrub the haze off. There's also a product out there designed for that.

I know this reply is late but I would call the tile store.  They might every well tell you it isn't their problem (which is isn't since it probably says in the product guide to seal before grouting) but the tile shop may be willing to work with you.  If they aren't I would go to the manufacturer to see if there is anything they can do to help.
